Welcome to Dreamland Brooklyn

A year-round empowerment hub showcasing up to 55+ rotating Black-owned vendors (80+ annually). Named after Tulsa's historic Dreamland Theatre, our marketplace sections honor the streets of the original Black Wall Street in the Greenwood District, 1921.

Weekend Hours

  • Saturday: 12 PM – 4 PM (Marketplace) • 5 PM – 9 PM (Lounge, 21+)
  • Sunday: 11 AM – 3 PM (Marketplace + Café)
  • First Fridays: 6 PM – 10 PM (Ticketed Events)

The Dreamland Experience

Two distinct experiences across the weekend:

Pop-up Marketplace

Saturday 12-4pm + Sunday 11am-3pm. Up to 55+ vendors across VIP Premium, Greenwood Avenue, Renaissance Rooms, Kitchen Island, Archer Street Youth, and Detroit Avenue sections.

Front Stage Series

Live programming that transforms Dreamland into a cultural destination:

  • Saturday Lounge (5-9pm): DJ sets, mobile bar, 21+ atmosphere
  • Sunday Morning Café (11am-1pm): Acoustic performances, coffee, pastries
  • Dreamers & Doers: Live interviews streamed on NuRenN app
  • First Fridays (Monthly): Ticketed preview nights with live performances

Renaissance Rooms (Private Events)

During evening hours, Renaissance Rooms transform into rentable event spaces for paint & sip nights, spoken word gatherings, private karaoke, book clubs, workshops, and more. Doors and retractable walls provide versatility.

Performer Opportunities

Our live programming transforms Dreamland into a cultural destination. Musicians, DJs, spoken word artists, and visual artists—we want to hear from you.

First Fridays

Intimate, tiny-desk style performances. 6-10pm monthly. Ticketed audience of engaged Brooklyn creatives. Perfect for emerging and established artists.

Saturday Lounge DJ Sets

5-9pm Front Stage Lounge vibes. Set the energy for the evening crowd. Mobile bar service, 21+ atmosphere.

Sunday Morning Café

Acoustic sets, neo-soul, spoken word. 11am-1pm chill vibes with coffee and pastries. Family-friendly, all ages.

Intimate Artscapes (iA)

Live visual artists painting during performances. Neo-soul/jazz soundscapes with art created in real-time. Renaissance Room settings.

Compensation

Performers receive a share of ticket sales and/or flat fees depending on event type. All performers are featured on our marketing channels and streamed live on the NuRenN app.

Renaissance Rooms transform into intimate event spaces for approved experiences.

Applications reviewed within 3-5 business days

  • Priority given to Black and Brown-owned businesses

Step 3: Secure Your Spot

Once approved, payment secures your space

  • Payment link sent via email
  • First-come, first-served for tier selection
  • Confirmation sent upon payment

Vendor Responsibilities

Setup & Breakdown

Saturday: Setup 11am-12pm • Breakdown by 4:30pm

Sunday: Setup 10am-11am • Breakdown by 3:30pm

No overnight storage – Setup day-of

Display & Presentation

BYO tables, chairs, display materials • Keep space clean • Stay within footprint • Professional appearance required

Attendance & Staffing

Must be present both days • Space staffed during all hours • Notify 48 hrs in advance if unable to attend • No refunds for no-shows

Marketing & Promotion

Tag @dreamlandbklyn on all posts • Share event to your audience • Use provided marketing materials

Licenses & Insurance

Valid business license (if required) • Food vendors: NYC Health permit mandatory • Liability insurance recommended
